    Default Jack Points?

Question about the jack points on the AWD:

I was reading the owners manual and the only jack points mentioned are the 4 little slots near each wheel, just under the doors. They make sense for the scissor jack when changing a tyre, but what are the correct jack points for using a floor jack and jack stands?
Obviously if I put a floor jack under one of those then I cant fit a jack stand to it because the floor jack is in the way, but I cant see a front jack point anywhere.

There is a point in the front and rear for floor jacks.

Hey thank you. Looks like the front point is at the end of the centre member, where it meets the front cross member?

I had a look again and theres a square shaped area there just behind the tow hook, in the centre member.
It has a hole in the center of it. The diagram shows a block, I guess that means they want us to put a block between the jack and the jack point? Last fellow who jacked up the front didnt do that.

So the only place to safely put jack stands is on those jack points on the "rigid rack"?
Looks like the jack stands would definitely deform the door sills! Unless they could clear them somehow.

I have just started a new thread with a number of images of the floorpan of an AWD model on a workshop hoist:

    https://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=108003

The images will give a good indication of suitable floor jacking points.

Of course, the jack points will be the same on AWD, FWD and wagon.
